Canopies are basically an overhead roof-like structure over which a type of fabric covering is attached. Its main purpose is to provide shelter and shade. Generally, canopies do not have floors.

The reason canopies are so advantageous over other coverings is because it can be relocated with ease, can be erected on any surface, and are easy to construct/deconstruct.

Which ones should I buy?

When choosing a canopy to use at the beach, it is usually a good idea to choose one that will provide shade for your entire body when laying down.

This is because a beach canopy will usually need to protect you from much stronger exposures to the sun’s rays, and having a body extremity exposed for a long period of time can cause a lot of skin conditions in the future.

Consider bringing either an extra large canopy, or an extra canopy entirely for additional coverage for other people.
